PillBot™ is the world’s first motorized pill camera for telemedicine. It uses pumpjet thrusters to maneuver like a multicopter drone. Not much larger than a multivitamin capsule, PillBot™ lets doctors have a quick look in the human stomach over a Zoom call. With no preparation other than skipping a meal and drinking regular water, the user swallows PillBot™ while awake. The remote physician steers PillBot™ in the patient’s stomach using a smartphone app, and delivers a diagnosis within 10 minutes.
